What is Podlines PodCon?

The first Arabic podcasting conference that brings together everyone interested or involved in the industry. Coming from an Arabic podcasters’ community: Podlines Podcasting Incubator, we are aware of their needs, and aim to assist them. Our goal is to connect the Arabic podcasting market with international professionals in order to grow the podcasting market in MENA. Each year we bring together passionate podcasters and industry professionals from around the globe to learn, grow professionally, and most importantly, to evolve and improve the podcast community.

Ibrahim HAWARI

CEO of Podlines

Is the Head of the Podlines Podcasting and its Directing Expert. He is a media consultant specializing in public relations and social media. He is the director of PR LINES, in Istanbul, specializes in public relations, and has extensive media experience in many companies and satellite channels.


Co-Founder and CTO at Anghami

Elie is the co-founder and CTO of Anghami, the leading music streaming service in the Middle East. In late 2012, seizing the opportunity of a lack of proper digital music service in the Arab world, Elie and his partner, Eddy Maroun, launched Anghami (‘my tunes’ in Arabic). Since then, Anghami has reached over 85 million users, streaming a billion tracks each month. With offices in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Beirut, Cairo & Riyadh, Anghami’s 150 people team successfully helped Anghami become the first tech company from the region to be publicly listed on Nasdaq. At Anghami, Elie runs the operations and product development, spending most of his time working between clouds, streams and pixels.

Jared Easley is the Co-founder and VP of Content and Community for Podcast Movement. He is the co-host of the Starve the Doubts podcast. He is also the author of two books where Stop Chasing Influencers was last published. He, his wife, and his daughter reside in South Florida.

James Cridland

Editor of Podnews,

James Cridland is Editor of Podnews, a daily podcast newsletter. He is a radio futurologist – a writer, consultant and public speaker on radio’s future. James has worked in radio and audio since 1989 as an award-winning copywriter, radio presenter, and internet strategist. He launched the world’s first streaming radio smartphone app in March 2005, for the original Virgin Radio in London, launching daily podcasts earlier that year. In 2007 he joined the BBC working on the BBC iPlayer for radio, achieving a dramatic increase in the service’s audio quality. Part of the team that laid the foundations for the UK Radioplayer, he has since worked for a variety of businesses across the world, including Canada’s Vista Radio, receiver and silicon manufacturers Pure and Frontier Silicon, talkSPORT, and a variety of media companies in Europe, North America, Asia and Australia; helping them focus on the benefits and challenges that new platforms bring to their business. He was one of the organisers of Next Radio, the UK radio ideas conference. He has worked with the world’s largest radio conference, Radiodays Europe, since its inception. A founder of the hybrid radio technology association RadioDNS, he is an Associate Member of the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, and was made an Honorary Life Member of the UK’s Student Radio Association. Born in the UK, James lives in Brisbane, Australia with his partner and daughter.

Josh Nielsen is the founder of Zencastr. He is a front-end engineer who is passionate about his craft. Specialties: Real-Time Apps, Javascript, Node.js, Backbone.js, Python/Django, HTML/CSS.


Podcast Consultant - Founder of School of Podcasting

Dave Jackson is an award-winning podcaster who started podcasting in 2005 when he launched the School of Podcasting and has helped thousands of people plan, launch, grow, and monetize their podcast. In 2018 he was inducted into the Academy of Podcasters Hall of Fame. In 2020 he released the book Profit From Your Podcast.
